"Governor's Achievement Award"
Macksville High School received an Outstanding Honor from the Kansas State Department of Education. The High School was honored by being named one of only 18 high schools in the state to earn the "Governor's Achievement Award". The award honors top-performing schools in the state that meet these specifications:
*Must have achieved the Standard of Excellence in both reading and
mathematics as well as graduation rate in 2008.
*Must have made Adequate Yearly Progress in both reading and
mathematics as well as graduation rate in 2008.
*Must have been among schools in the top 5% in both reading and
mathematics on the 2008 state assessments.
